How to Organize a Roulette or Roullete Meeting With Zavvy

Roullete

Roulette is a casino game of chance in which players place bets on either a single number, various groupings of numbers, the colors red and black, or whether the numbers are high (19-36) or low (1-18). A player’s winning bet pays out based on where the ball lands in the wheel. Roulette, or Roullete, is a very popular game in casinos and gambling dens worldwide, and it’s also known for its glamour and mystery.

The roulette table has a round metal plate with a smooth outer surface and an inner portion that’s divided into compartments by metal “frets” or “canoes”. Thirty-six of these compartments, painted alternately in red and black, are numbered nonconsecutively from 1 to 36; on European-style wheels a 37th compartment, painted green, carries the sign 0; and on American wheels two additional green compartments carry the signs 00. A ball, containing a small steel or ivory nugget, is spun around the wheel and into one of the compartments. When a winning number is determined, the dealer announces it, clears all losing bets off the table, and pays out winners. The casino takes the remaining bets and puts them in its income account.

In order to participate in a roulette game, the player must purchase chips. The dealer gives each participant a different color of chip to distinguish them from the other bettors. The roulette chips do not have any value outside of the table. When a player wishes to leave the table, they tell the dealer they’d like to cash out and the dealer exchanges them for normal casino chips.

Coffee and Lunch Roulettes are an excellent way to break down invisible formal barriers between departments and help employees build genuine relationships with colleagues. These informal chats encourage people to openly discuss failure and success, fostering a more sustainable definition of success, which in turn helps to increase empathy, collaboration, and teamwork.

Organizing a coffee or lunch roulette is easy with Zavvy. Simply create a meeting with the theme of your choice, add a description and some other important settings, and then select participants. You can choose to repeat these sessions on a regular basis or on an ad-hoc basis. Zavvy tip: It’s best to schedule these sessions a few weeks in advance and send reminder emails ahead of time to help ensure maximum participation.
